At the start of 2020, the Art Club suggested that we hold some kind of event for Valentine’s Day. It was based on the theme of love appreciation. We eventually decided to do a service where people could anonymously message positive things to others (with us as the middlemen). We also wanted to sell roses.

Since it was a school event, we also had to get the help of the Engagement Committee. As a leader of the club, I was faced with the challenge of talking to new people. I met up with the leader of the committee and talked about the plan.

A lot of time went into deciding how to collect the message requests. We decided the most secure way was to open up a Google form, write those messages in a letter, and then deliver it to the recipient. We also often discussed how much we should price the roses and letters. Several times, the price changed as we shopped for different styles of envelopes.

On the day before Valentine’s Day, we had to work even harder. I could only order the roses the day before (to keep them fresh). As a result, we had to deal with about 70 orders, packaging almost a hundred roses, and writing even more cards and letters on the same day. However, because we collaborated with the Engagement Committee, they helped with the packaging and delivery. It saved a lot of time and effort.

All in all, the event turned out to be quite successful in my opinion. The orders were delivered and everyone seemed happy. The Heart Club also donated 750 baht each to CHSA and PAWS.
